On March 11, 2017, Dr. William Q. Ross returned to the stage of the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe after 21 years. When first the walls of the "Nuyo" heard his voice, he was just finding it. Now, the walls hear that he owns his voice and the sentiments he shares are done with sincerity and intent.

The pages that follow are intended to inspire those who represent themselves as members of the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation to dig deeper than the surface of their consciousness and truly understand the depth of the crown that they wear.

They are also intended to provide the family and friends of those who claim to be members of the ALKQN with an opportunity to learn more about what the membership of their loved ones means without prying into the secrets of the Nation itself.

The pages that follow are full of quotes that I have written over the course of several years. The inspiration to write them has come from various sources. Music, travel, prayer, reflection, and day-to-day interactions have all played their part in making these thoughts tangible via the written word.
